The Stone Roses were one of the pioneers of British guitar pop’s ‘Madchester’ era, ruling the scene in the late 80’s and early 90’s.

Their comeback was strongly hinted at in October 2011, with the major music media featuring headlines about a forthcoming world tour.

The first triple-gig of the tour is now firmly set for Heaton Park in Manchester, with the initial 2 nights selling out in less than 15 minutes. Not a bad sign considering the capacity there is 150.000.

Another revealing piece of news: The Stone Roses record sales grew an unbelievable 1000% after they announced the reunion.

Rumor has it that the band is already thinking about recording a new album, so we better prepare for a total Stone Roses conquest of the 20th Sziget Festival.
