Now Showing In Budapest: 'The Ides Of March'
"Governor Morris is a candidate running in the presidential primary race for the Democratic Party ticket."

Movie type: Thriller - This is a fairly talky drama/thriller aimed at adult moviegoers. Fans of director/co-star George Clooney may be disappointed by how little time he is on-screen; however, fans of Ryan Gosling will be pleased by this big starring showcase. Constant language and adult subject matter make the film inappropriate for children.

Director: George Clooney

Script: George Clooney, Grant Heslov, Beau Willimon

Starring: Ryan Gosling (Stephen Myers), George Clooney (Governer Mike Morris), Marisa Tomei (Ida Horowicz)

Length: 1 hr. 41 min.

Reviews:

Berardinelli, Internet Critic: “Very Good The Ides of March is one of the most honest mainstream movies about American politics ever to be committed to the screen. It's the anti-Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and the repudiation of everything Frank Capra preached in that idealistic classic.”

Roger Ebert: “Good The screenplay, written by Clooney, Grant Heslov and Willimon, is ingenious in the way it meshes personal and political ambitions... The movie's strength is in the acting, with Gosling once again playing a character with an insistent presence.”

USA Today: “Good Ides of March focuses on one crumbling campaign and a few key players. No cynicism is spared in this stylishly rendered tale of tarnished idealism and the cold heart of treachery.”

Chicago Tribune: “Good Does the movie have a lot to say about our political process? Nothing we haven't heard. But director Clooney respects the pacing and the rhythms of another moviemaking era. The material may be shallow but it's not shrill. I only hope Wright gets to play a bigger, more expansive riddler next time.”
