Vueling Denies Interest In Hungarian State Airline Malév
"Spanish low cost airline Vueling firmly denies having any interest in purchasing Malév, Magyar Hírlap reports, citing Spanish news agency EFE. The airline was responding to a Friday report that Vueling would step in to rescue the troubled Hungarian state airline.

The Malév EGM on Friday did not decide on a planned capital increase, nor on extending its aircraft lease contract.

In effect, the EGM consisted of a long recess, Napi Gazdaság writes, as negotiations with ILFC, which leases Boeing aircraft to the state airline, were ongoing in Amsterdam.

The Malév board of directors will address the question on Monday, chairman János Berényi said.

The EGM was a continuation of the initial meeting on January 6."
