Now Showing In Budapest: 'Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace 3D'
"In Episode I, Darth Vader is a hopeful nine-year-old boy named Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi is a brash young Jedi Knight. This first chapter in the Star Wars saga follows Anakin's journey as he pursues his dreams and confronts his deepest fears in the midst of a galaxy in turmoil."

Movie type: Sci-Fi Action - Moviegoers male or female, old or (especially) young should be reasonably satisfied with this first installment in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Although the film (especially the humor) skews young, only the most finicky of Star Wars fans will find much to object to here.

Director: George Lucas

Script: George Lucas

Starring: Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Liam Neeson (Qui-Gon Jinn), Natalie Portman (Amidala/ Padmé), Jake Lloyd (Anakin Skywalker), Ian McDiarmid (Senator Palpatine), Samuel L. Jackson (Mace Windu)

Length: 2 hr. 11 min.

Reviews:

Michael Dequina: “There are a couple of angles at which to approach Star Wars: Episode I --The Phantom Menace: in comparison to the three episodes that have been released; or, ideally, as an individual film, in and of itself. In the latter regard, The Phantom Menace is the type of exceptionally well-made, highly imaginative science fiction adventure that one would expect from the mind of series creator George Lucas, who makes an impressive return to the director's chair after a self-imposed 22-year hiatus.”
