Now Showing In Budapest: 'Safe House'
"The most dangerous renegade from the CIA, comes back onto the grid after a decade on the run. When the South African safe house he's remanded to is attacked by mercenaries, a rookie operative escapes with him. Now, the unlikely allies must stay alive long enough to uncover who wants them dead."

Movie type: Action Thriller - This is a gritty, violent action thriller aimed at young male audiences. Fans of the two top-billed stars should enjoy while other known faces in supporting roles have much smaller screen time. While harsh language is at a fair minimum, bloody violence makes the film inappropriate for children.

Director: Daniel Espinosa

Script: David Guggenheim

Starring: Ryan Reynolds (Matt Weston), Denzel Washington (Tobin Frost), Vera Farmiga (Catherine Linklater)

Length: 1 hr. 55 min.

Reviews:

Berardinelli, Internet Critic: “Average Safe House has B-movie sensibilities with an A-list cast - a formula that sometimes provides reasonable entertainment, except in a situation like this when it's plain most of the well-known players are on hand for purposes of refreshing their bank accounts.”

USA Today: “Above Average Safe House has two powerful performances at its core, a hectic plot, a huge body count and a mild sense of deja vu amid the pulse-quickening tension.”

Chicago Tribune: “Above Average Even at its most frantic and mechanical, the movie relies on Washington to provide a visual anchor, some sociopathic calm amid the storm.”

Washington Post: 2Average If we're still unconvinced after "Safe House," it's largely because the film spends less time on the promising interplay between Reynolds and Washington than on generic spycraft action its makers aren't quite up to.”
