Car-Free Weekend Ahead In Budapest
Budapest holds its annual car-free weekend this Saturday and Sunday, banning vehicular traffic from the entire length of Andrássy út, the Chain Bridge and other major roads. Napfény utca in the Ninth District and Ferihegyi út in the 17th District will also be closed to traffic.

Andrássy út will be closed to traffic from 8 p.m. Friday evening to 4.30 a.m. Sunday morning. The Chain Bridge, Széchenyi tér and József Attila utca will be closed all day Saturday until 4.30 a.m. Sunday

The Chain Bridge will be renamed the Bridge of the Future for the weekend, and a Vivát Huszár festival is scheduled for Károli Gáspár utca in Csepel.
