More Hungarian Adults Considering Emigration
The proportion of adult Hungarians working abroad or choosing to live in foreign countries has tripled in the past two decades, according to data from the Tárki Social Research Institute.

The number of adults planning to emigrate in the 1990s was 5-6%, but that figure had doubled by 2001 and tripled by 2011, Tárki research fellow Endre Sík said in a statement.

In early 2013 13% of the adult population are prepared to work abroad for a few weeks or months, 11% are ready to live outside of Hungary for a few years and 6% are ready to emigrate, primarily to Austria, Germany and Great Britain.
