Xpat Opinion: 422 000 People Applying For Hungarian Citizenship

Since Hungarian Government has simplified the application procedure in 2011, there have been at least 422000 people applying for the Hungarian citizenship. From all applications, about 203000 people applied in Hungary, and about 340000 people have conducted the oath of citizenship.
In the neighborhoods, 149449 people in Romania, 46400 in Serbia, 10437 people in Ukraine, 454 people in Austria and 161 people in Slovakia have applied for the Hungarian citizenship.
About 1779 people in UK, 1472 people in German, 1427 people in USA and 1060 people in Israel have also applied for Hungarian citizenship.
All together there are 283866 Romanian, 76652 Serbian, 50658 Ukrainian, 1515 Slovakian and 1289 Croatian who have applied.
The statistics also shows that many people in the neighborhood have turned in there application in Hungary.
