Holland Meets Hungary At Sziget Festival 2013
Sziget Festival is happy to announce that the Holland meets Hungary stage is once again part of the event’s program. The aim of this venue is to enable an open-minded cooperation between Dutch and Hungarian artists, including concerts, jam sessions, dance performances and DJ sets.

The success story of Holland meets Hungary has started in 2012 and could also be considered as a symbol of the increasing popularity of Sziget in The Netherlands. The stage is not only a Dutch cultural showcase but it also serves as the scene of a great cooperation between well-known Dutch and Hungarian artists, organized by Jam de la Crème. These 3 hour long jam sessions are an everyday treat for the audience and also present a real cultural encounter and collaboration, thanks to the work and effort made by the artists.

This year’s Jam de la Créme players include Kern Koppen (3FM Serious Talent), Qeaux Qeaux Jones (3FM Serious Talent), Ed Struijlaart, Typhoon, L'Chaim, Barnicle Bill Trio, The Deaf, BEEF, JAH6, Omar Ka, Oh Brave Wide Eyes, DJ Candy Says (Bella Hay), Di-Rect, Spider Rico, Focus, Orgel Vreten, Laura Jansen, GOTCHA!, The Kyteman Orchestra, Tin Men And The Telephone, Splendid, Smutfish, Knalland and Yuri Honing's Wired Paradise.

The daily program of Holland meets Hungary will be kicked off by the iLL Skill Squad on all regular festival days. This is a a formation of creative madmen brought together by their passion for movement, music, emotion and art. iLL Skill Squad is several times winner of the Dutch national youth art competition ‘Kunstbende’, they have had over a 100 performances of their fusion of classic music and bboying ‘Breakdance ON Classic’, became infamous participants of Holland’s Got Talent, while their 2013 national theater tour ‘155’ hits over 50 Dutch theaters.

After the contemporary dance performance it will be time for some great Dutch bands to present themselves in front of the Sziget audience, including gigs from Kensington, Navarone, Rob Klerkx & the Secret, Trashbound and also the winner of the best singer/songwriter of the Netherlands competition.

The night program of the stage will be dominated by Jam de la Créme, followed up by a variety of DJ sets all the way till 5 in the morning, presented by the Hungarian online music radio neston.hu. The Neston All Stars will include Jóképű Klub, Duty + Rica Cutolo (BR), Christian Cardwell and Ra Mone, Add2Basket, Holic, Vikipop, Mahagonee and Grabowsky. Party feeling guaranteed till sunrise!
