One of the most popular current hit-makers of modern electronic rock, AWOLNATION is coming to Budapest, Hungary for the first time on the 15th of August. The American band was formed and is fronted by Aaron Bruno, who writes all of his songs himself. AWOLNATION released their debut album Megalithic Symphony in 2011 which brought immediate popularity as well as commercial success to the band.

Their first single Sail peaked at number 10 on the U.S. Billboard Rock Songs chart, went platinum in the USA, double platinum in Canada and has been featured in tv series, movies, commercials and sport events. Other tracks of the album like Not Your Fault, Kill Your Heroes, Burn It Down or Guilty Filthy Soul were also used as soundtracks and became radio hits, while the band’s gigs are selling out bigger and bigger venues worldwide.

’A lot of fans I’ve met have said this record has helped them get through a tough time, and that’s the most rewarding thing I’ve ever experienced as a songwriter more so than selling out venue or having a single go gold or whatever’ – said Aaron Bruno in an interview. –’ (…) If you’re going through the passing of a friend, which I’ve experienced, or a horrible break-up, which I’ve experienced, or any of these sort of things, I feel that since I’m not 18 or 21 anymore, I’ve been through a little bit more of the real serious life stuff than I had been before, so there’s something on the record for the majority of people to relate to on an emotional level’.

AWOLNATION is currently working on their second studio album and they have already released two new songs. ThisKidsNotAlright is featured in the video game Injustice: Gods Among Us, while the song entitled Some Kind of Joke appears on the soundtrack album Iron Man 3: Heroes Fall.

These new songs, along with the big hits mentioned above, can also be heard live in Budapest, Hungary, where AWOLNATION gives an open-air concert on the 15th of August at Zöld Pardon, one of the most popular summer venues of the city by the bank of river Danube.

The guest of the evening is the Austrian rock band, Olympique, who will present a tough supporting act before their American friends set the stage on fire.
