Hungarian Voters In US Misinformed About Election Date
Hungarian-Americans who may vote in Hungary’s upcoming general election have been misinformed about the date of the ballot, Népszava daily reported. Citing the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union (TASZ), the paper said Hungarian potential voters had been misadvised by material placed by the National Election Office in the Hungarian consulate in New York as well as the embassy in Washington, DC.

Without taking the time difference into account, the election office stated April 6 as the date -- when Hungarians in Europe will be voting - instead of April 5, which is when voters on the American continent should cast their ballot.

The TASZ has called on the election office to correct this error without delay.
