Business Associate Of Disgraced Former Socialist Simon Dies After Arrest In Budapest
An entrepreneur associated with Gábor Simon, the disgraced former Socialist deputy chairman, fell ill and died in a police car after having been arrested and handcuffed, commercial news broadcaster Hír TV said on its website on Thursday.

Tamás Welsz, who was taken by police for questioning by the Central Investigating Chief Prosecutor’s Office (KNYF) on Thursday from his office in central Budapest, died en-route to the investigations office.

Andrea Nagy, of the KNYF, told MTI that the authorities would examine the cause of death. Hír TV reported that the entrepreneur was taken by police from his office on Logodi Street, handcuffed and placed in a police car. He then fell ill and passed away.
