The Silk Road Society Launch First Silk Road Festival At Brody Studios In Budapest

In a bid to inspire interest the places and the culture of the countries in Central Asia and the Caucasus, The Silk Road Society will bring the sights, sounds, tastes and experiences of the Silk Road to Budapest with its spectacular 2-day festival to showcase the culture and travel opportunities of the countries along the historic Silk Road.

From 13-14 of May, the Silk Road Society will host the very first Silk Road Festival at Brody Studios in Vörösmarty utca 38, from 5 p.m., to introduce the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus to Budapest. With a culture “bazaar”, an exhibition of art from artists in the region, travel photography, food and wine tasting, music and talks from academics specialized in Central Asia and the Caucasus, The Silk Road Festival offers an interactive medium to showcase the unique history, culture and potential for these regions.

With guest talks from renowned academics and artistic collaboration, the festival will showcase the art, culture, gastronomy and places of Central Asia and the Caucasus, in a bid to inspire travel and promote awareness of these countries.

The Silk Road Society is collective of likeminded people brought together by a love of travel and cultural interest in the countries from the Silk Road.
