BoB – Bacardi Original Bar – A Quirky Hotspot In Budapest’s Nightlife
This sexy New York style cocktail bar, perfectly situated in the chic central party area on Széchenyi tér, a few steps away from the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace, boasts a spectacular view of the Chain Bridge and Buda Castle (especially when the city really shines at night) and provides a stirring ambience for some late-night fun. It’s a hotspot for attractive people cutting loose.

The interior is a mixture of casual, modern, and fancy elements with an air of glamour and exotic Cuban class. Under the sparkling disco ball, award-winning mixologists and bartenders show their cocktail-shaking techniques from Wednesday afternoon until Sunday at dawn.

Top-notch innovative cocktails are mixed with quality domestic and international spirits and ingredients, featuring complex and layered creations as well as presenting some tried and tested classics. For those preferring their drinks neat or on the rocks, BoB’s bar also offers an impressive collection of exquisite liquors and rums, reflecting the flavours of American and Cuban-style libations.

True whiskey aficionados don’t have to go elsewhere either as the place showcases an admirable selection of bourbons, rye, single-malt and blended scotch. If feeling a little light-headed (from the delicious cocktail overload), BoB’s kitchen stays open until 2 a.m., offering tasty bites for hungry partiers.

BoB never seems to get tired of surprising its guests with live mellow music sessions and some special themed nights, such as the popular Csajszerda (Ladies’Night) every second Wednesday when Budapest’s hottest ladies show off their moves on the black-and-white checkerboard dance floor. The bar’s late night music crew mostly sticks with deep house and new disco, but there is more on the repertoire, with some of the city’s most masterful spinners setting the mood, like Candy Man, Lotfi Beigi, Poli, and Dj Moon.

Over the summer, when the sun is out, the small but cosy terrace area provides a great atmosphere to hang out and to sip on margaritas while enjoying the tunes and the fantastic view.

The place accepts walk-ins, but reservations are strongly advised, as it often gets fully booked on a Friday or Saturday night.

Whether you fancy a night of mixing and mingling with friends and good-looking strangers, or just want to enjoy a drink in style, the trendsetting BoB is an excellent destination.
