Hungarian Formula 1 Draws 169,000
This year’s Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix race drew 169,000 fans to Hungaroring, near Budapest, over four days, the company in charge of the circuit said.

Hungaroring Sport said 22,000 fans came to the track to see the pit on Thursday and 30,000 visitors arrived on Friday for the first practice session.

About 50,000 came for qualifying on Saturday, and the race on Sunday attracted 67,000 fans.

Last year, Hungaroring drew a record 247,000 fans for the Grand Prix, including 99,000 on Sunday.

Ticket sales for this year’s Hungarian Grand Prix were down early in summer as the race faced competition from its Austrian peer, revived after more than a decade.
