Hungarian Analysts: Fidesz Will Win Local Elections
There is no doubt about it: Fidesz continues to steadily lead the popularity lists and will win the local elections, director Tibor Závecz of pollsters Ipsos and Néz pont Institute senior analyst Csaba Fodor agreed yesterday.

Speaking on Inforádió, Fodor said an interesting question is how many villages Jobbik will be able to take from the left wing in north and east Hungary.

Regarding left-wing mayoral candidate Ferenc Falus’s chances in Budapest, Závecz argued that only a candidate built up by years of work would have a chance of defeating incumbent István Tarlós.

Both analysts said there is no general mood to change the mayor, but Fidesz will have only a narrow majority on city council.
