Socialists May Have To Move Out Of Budapest HQ
The Socialist Party could move out of its present headquarters in Budapest’s Sixth District within six weeks, Népszabadság surmised on Saturday. Repaying the Swiss franc mortgage on the building is reportedly too big a load and the party apparatus is now too small for such a large office building.

The party leaders are holding talks with several investors on the sale of the building on Jókai utca or on its utilisation for other purposes, but no deal has yet been agreed.

Vasárnapi Hírek reported before the parliamentary elections that the party had accumulated about Ft 2 billion in debt.
