Várkert Bazár In Budapest Opens To Public
The second phase of Várkert Bazár, the royal garden pavilions at the foot of Castle Hill, has been completed and opened to the public, László L Simon, the government commissioner in charge of the project, said on Friday.

The project, which covered heritage reconstruction, public transport development and new buildings at a cost of 11 billion forints (EUR 34.9m), was financed from national and European Union funds.

Designed by architect Miklós Ybl in 1883, the 2,000 square-metre pavilions were closed in 1984.
