100,000 Passengers At Hungarian Airport In Debrecen
Debrecen mayor Lajos Kósa greeted the 100,000th passenger to pass through Debrecen airport this year. After the ceremony the first charter flight of Russia’s Utair airlines arrived from Moscow, transporting Russian tourists to the spa in Hajdúszoboszló every third week.

The number of passengers may exceed 150,000 this year, according to CEO István Herdon of airport operator the Xanga group.

Wizz Air operates a regular flight to London Luton, while five charter companies are present: Bulgarian Air Charter, Travel service, Freebird, Germania and Nouvelair of Tunisia.

Of the 100,000 passengers, some 83,000 travelled with Wizz Air.
