Hungary Losing Ground In Recycling
Hungary has fallen back in its recycling of packaging materials from 59.3% of the total in 2011 to 48% in 2012, Eurostat announced. The largest drop was in paper recycling, from 94% to 73%.

EU member countries last had to meet EU recycling targets in 2008, when all countries passed. Now, Hungary has failed to reach the 55% threshold, along with Poland and Malta, among others.
