Hungarian Govt Alliance Increases Support After Election
The ruling Fidesz-Christian Democrat party alliance significantly increased its voter support during the week after the recent local elections. Pollster Tárki said that the winning parties benefited from a tendency of “siding with the winner”.

Across the whole sample, the governing parties were supported by 37%, up from 31 in September. Radical nationalist Jobbik was preferred by 11% (8% in October).

The Socialist Party was supported by 11% (10 % in September), the Democratic Coalition (DK) by 3% (4% in September), E-PM by 1 % (2% in September).

Green LMP has had a voter support of 2% since June.

Among decided voters, the ruling parties enjoy an unchanged 55% of support.

Jobbik is backed by 17% (2 percentage points up), while the Socialists are supported by 17%, DK by 5%, and E-PM by 2%, Tárki said.

Tárki made the poll between October 14 and 20.
