Holocaust Memorial Year Closes In Hungary
The March of the Living Foundation’s György Kézdy Award was handed over to suffragan bishop János Székely, and Ferenc Mátraházi, a teacher, at a ceremony closing Hungary’s Holocaust Memorial Year on Friday.

The award goes to two people each year, in recognition of their efforts to promote historic events that are part of our national or historical identity, the foundation said in a statement.

At the ceremony, Székely, who is a co-leader of the Christian-Jewish Council, said it was his ambition to create a curriculum for secondary schools about the achievements of Hungarian Jewish artists and businesspeople.
