C Bank Suing Hungarian Liberal Party Politician Over False Statements
The National Bank of Hungary said it is suing Zoltán Bodnár of the opposition Hungarian Liberal Party for making false statements about the activities of the bank. The NBH dismissed the statements “made purely for political gain” and asked for corrections from the media that carried them.

The NBH referred to Bodnár’s statements on the central bank’s wage policy, property purchases and oversight procedures. Bodnár is a former deputy governor of the central bank.
