British School Pupils In Budapest Interview Vác Football Chairman
As part of their newspaper project some Year 6 pupils at BISB kindly requested to interview Mr John Marshall the Chairman of Vác FC last week as they searched for stories to feature in their international sports section. The club were happy to accept and in line with their social initiative ‘Vác FC in the Community’ the Vác FC Owner was more than delighted to participate.

Marshall was interviewed by 6 junior journalists who asked some wonderful questions about their history, recent success (6 points clear at the top of NB3 with only 11 matches to play) and how they are trying to re-connect the people of Vác to the club whilst supporting local charitable causes through ‘Vác FC in the Community’.

There were also questions on the club’s focus to attract families to watch the first team at Vác Stadium. Vác FC are pioneers in ‘family’ football, having introduced a family stand at their home stadium last season. They aim to increase match day attendances and believe this can only be achieved if they appeal to men and women of all ages.

After his interview with the budding journalists, Marshall was told he would receive a copy of the publication as soon as it has been produced – the BISB are working with Vác FC and hope to take a large group of pupils to watch the last game of the season on June 7th when the team hope to be crowned champions, which would see them promoted to NB2.
