Charity Concert With Zoltán Kocsis, National Concert Hall Budapest, 30 May
In 1990, the world-renowned pianist Zoltán Kocsis offered to mark his birthday on 30 May each year by giving a concert for the benefit of the International Children's Safety Service, thus celebrating an intimate personal anniversary by donating to poor and sick children.

The programme is compiled by Kocsis himself, and both he and the friends he invites on stage waive their performance fees for the evening.

The charity organisation utilises the proceeds from the concert to help needy children, covering the costs of medical check-ups, treatment and operations.
