Now Showing In Budapest: 'Pixels'
"When aliens misinterpret video feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war, they attack the Earth in the form of the video games."

Movie type: Action Comedy Sci-Fi - This effects-heavy video game-themed action/adventure/comedy has some crass touches of humor, but most families with pre-teen children and up will find this to be generally safe viewing, for it doesn't have a lot of the more vulgar humor most Adam Sandler films feature. There are some action scenes and scary images that may be intense for the youngest children, and there is some moderate language, alcohol, and bloodless violence.

Director: Chris Columbus

Script: Timothy Dowling, Tim Herlihy, Patrick Jean, Adam Sandler

Starring: Sam Brenner - Adam Sandler, Eddie Plant - Peter Dinklage, Violet Van - Patten - Michelle Monaghan, Lady Lisa - Ashley Benson

Length: 1 hr. 46 min.

Rated: PG-13

Reviews:

Roger Ebert: “Below Average However, when you consider how good it could have been and should have been, it has to go down as one of the season's bigger disappointments in the way that it quickly gives up the ghost(s).”

Entertainment Weekly: “Below Average ...neither Sandler nor his listless writers (too many punchlines just sit there and collect flies) seem invested. .... Sandler can't be bothered to raise his pulse above comatose. If he doesn't care, why should anyone else?”

NY Post: “Very Poor This movie isn't for today's teens, it's for dudes born in the 1960s who never let go of their joysticks.”
