Hungaroring Launches HUF 750 Million Repaving Project
A 750 million forint repaving project at the Hungaroring race track on the outskirts of Budapest has started, the head of the track’s operator told business daily Világgazdaság. The company is covering the cost of the investment with its own resources, said Hungaroring chairman-CEO Zsolt Gyulay. Hungaroring hopes to get state funding for a 25 billion forint overhaul of the track it wants to undertake in future, Gyulay said.

Ticket sales generate 80-90% of Hungaroring’s revenue.

The company uses the track about 200 days a year. Hungaroring hosts the annual Formula-1 Hungarian Grand Prix race since 1986.
