Congestion Fee Budapest Zone Proposed
The Budapest Transport Centre is proposing that a congestion fee be charged for vehicles within the Kiskörút, Népszabadság reports. In that scenario, the boundary of the car-free zone in Pest would run from Fõvám tér to Kálvin tér to Astoria to Deák Ferenc tér to Széchenyi tér.

Exceptions would be made for Szabad sajtó út leading to Erzsébet híd, and Lajos Kossuth utca, leading to the Chain Bridge.

The car-free zone would also extend to parts of the First District in Buda.
