Dismantling Of Park Buildings Starts In Budapest
Dismantling of the former Hungexpo buildings in City Park began on Tuesday, as civilian activists who were resisting large-scale changes planned for the park were forcibly removed from the site with police assistance last week. They had been camping in the park for three months without a permit.

The now completely fenced-off area is patrolled by security guards, while protesters remained outside the fence. The House of Hungarian Music is to be built on the site.

Work on demolishing the Transport Museum began at the weekend.
