Olympic Medalists Cheered By Crowds In Budapest
Hungary’s Olympic team was received by a large crowd on Wednesday at the Syma Hall in Budapest, after bringing back 8 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals from Rio de Janeiro.

The players’ flight was half an hour late, but they were then quickly bussed to the hall for a ceremonious reception just before 9.30am.

Canoer Danuta Kozák was one of the most popular of the players, she won three gold medals at the Rio Games.

The Olympic team walked into the hall led by Katinka Hosszú and her husband and coach Shane Tusup.

Hosszú won three golds and one silver in various swimming events.

All Olympic winners were then called to the stage one by one to be greeted by fans.

Hungary finished 12th in the Rio medal table.
