Vona Calls On Orbán To Resign
Gábor Vona, leader of the radical nationalist Jobbik party, called on Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to resign over the outcome of Sunday’s referendum on European Union migrant quotas. Vona said Brussels would “take advantage of Orbán’s irresponsibility and mistakes and use this against Hungary”.

Jobbik already proposed amending the constitution to reflect the migration situation in the spring.

“Is the prime minister not ashamed of proposing the very same thing after six months, 15 billion forints spent and a failed public vote?” he asked.

Vona insisted that Orbán had lost credibility and would not be taken seriously in Brussels on migration.

People who stayed away on Sunday sent a message that they are fed up with the cruel campaign and tired of wasting public funds, he said.
