Monday Terror Suspects No Threat To Hungary, Says Interior Ministry
The suspects in Monday’s terrorist incidents in Berlin, Brussels and Zurich do not pose a threat to Hungary, according to data gathered by Hungary’s national security services, the interior ministry said on Tuesday. The ministry released a statement in response to an enquiry about Hungary’s security situation by Zsolt Molnár, the (Socialist) head of parliament’s national security committee.

Citing information from the Counter Terrorism and Crime Information Analysis Centre, counter-terrorism force TEK and the Constitutional Protection Office, Interior Minister Sándor Pintér wrote in his response that the authorities had “not even found information containing mentions” of any possible terror plots against Hungary.

Pintér backed the assessment of Hungary’s counter-terrorism coordination council that the country’s terror threat level should be kept at the current medium level.
