Wizz Air Flights Cost State HUF 4bn
The state is paying Ft 4 billion to low cost airline Wizz Air to maintain regularly scheduled flights between Budapest and the Balkan destinations of Podgorica, Pristina, Sarajevo, Skopje and Tirana over four years, according to information published on the EU public procurement website on December 31.

Wizz Air has undertaken to operate two flights a week to these cities.

The Development Ministry announced last April that it would commission an airline to operate these flights as a public service.

The flights are scheduled to begin in the spring.
