Tax Office Collects HUF 31 Bn Over Target In 2016
Hungary’s tax and customs office NAV collected 12,793 billion forints (EUR 41.2m) in revenue in 2016, some 31 billion more than the annual target, the head of the authority said.

This year’s revenue target, which is 682 billion forints more than last year, will be a “big task” to meet considered the tax cuts enacted, András Tállai said.

NAV closed by Dec. 31 last year about 25,000 lengthy inspection procedures in which cases it revealed and collected 488 billion forints in unpaid taxes, he said.
