Parliamentary Speaker: Illegal Migration ‘Means To Suppress Central Europe’
Parliamentary Speaker László Kövér said on Thursday that illegal migration was yet another way to subjugate central Europe while weakening Europe as a whole. Kövér told a summit of parliamentary leaders from central and eastern Europe in Warsaw that “in Europe, affected by demographic decline, it is not migration in itself that poses a danger but its possible consequences.”

He said it was a cause for concern that “some people knowingly abuse migration”.

“The global geopolitical interests linked to the weakening of Europe want to force central Europe into the geopolitical crosshairs”, he said.

Western Europe must not sacrifice central Europe once again, as they did after 1945, because in the 21st century “in a globalised world, Europe— including western Europe—could also become a subordinated, humiliated and plundered conflict zone”, he added.
