'Bakáts Fest' In Budapest, 24 - 27 August
A cultural festival in the heart of Ferencváros for all the family. Performing artists this year include Andrea Rost, the Ealing Youth Orchestra, one of Britain’s leading youth orchestras, Zséda, György Sándor, András Berecz, the Academy Award winning choir of the Bakáts Tér Elementary School of Music and Singing, the band Swing à la Django and Andrea Malek.

More from the organisers:

The 2017 Bakáts Feszt is a true pan-arts event in Pest. A colourful celebration of music, theatre, dance, film, fine arts, and gastronomy of the highest standards, which also gives you an insight into Ferencváros’s cultural wealth of diversity.

In the atmospheric Kálvin Courtyard, you may view the performances of theatrical companies based in or in some way connected to the District of Ferencváros, while in Ráday utca you may marvel at the exhibitions of local artists and galleries, and may even take part in the creative process itself.

For the entertainment of children, there will be theatrical performances in the morning and in the afternoon on Saturday and on Sunday.

And naturally, there is no Bakáts Feszt without our traditional Lecsó Cooking Competition.

Locations:
Bakáts tér – Bakáts utca – Ráday utca – Kálvin-udvar
