Now Showing In Budapest: '47 Meters Down'
"Two sisters vacationing in Mexico are trapped in a shark cage at the bottom of the ocean. With less than an hour of oxygen left and great white sharks circling nearby, they must fight to survive."

Movie type: Horror Thriller - While this shark thriller has a PG-13 rating, it is still much too intense for young children, for its brief moments of violence and bloodshed are disturbing, and attacks and chases involving sharks are too scary. Fans of Mandy Moore will enjoy the film, as will the target of older teens and young adults. The other recognizable face, Matthew Modine, only has a very small role. There is some moderate profanity.

Director: Johannes Roberts

Script: Johannes Roberts, Ernest Riera

Starring: Lisa - Mandy Moore, Kate - Claire Holt, Taylor - Matthew Modine

Length: 1 hr. 29 min.

Reated: PG-13

Reviews:

Roger Ebert: “Average ...an intriguing premise, a couple of reasonably nifty "BOO!” moments and a pair of likable leads and wastes them with tedious execution and an ending that is so silly that it almost defies belief. ...the ending of this film makes the ending of The Shallows …look like the ending of Jawsa by comparison.”

Slant Magazine: “Below Average Johannes Roberts's 47 Meters Down can't help alternating between the genuinely terrifying and the just plain dumb. For every moment of tension-filled clarity here, there are two that leave you thinking: Have they all got the bends?”
