Now Showing In Budapest: 'A Bad Moms Christmas'
"Three under-appreciated and over-burdened women as they rebel against the challenges and expectations of the Super Bowl for moms: Christmas. And if creating a more perfect holiday for their families wasn't hard enough, they have to do all of that while hosting and entertaining their own mothers."

Movie type: Action Adventure Comedy - Like the first film, this is a raunchy comedy aimed largely at women, this time with a holiday twist. Many of the original cast members, including leads Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Kathryn Hahn return though fans of Christina Applegate will be disappointed that she only has a cameo. Susan Sarandon, Christine Baranski, and Cheryl Hines join the cast in significant roles. Constant language, drug and alcohol use, and raunchy verbal and physical humor make the film not for kids.

Director: Scott Moore, Jon Lucas

Script: Jon Lucas, Scott Moore

Starring: Amy - Mila Kunis, Kiki - Kristen Bell, Carla - Kathryn Hahn

Length: 1 hr. 44 min.

Reated: R
Reviews:

Berardinelli, Internet Critic: “Above Average - The movie as a whole is a mixed bag and recommended primarily for those who enjoyed the first one or who love to devour any and all Christmas-themed movies. This is a sugary snack and not a fully satisfying main course.”

Roger Ebert: “Average - Every once in a while, A Bad Moms Christmas finds the elusive, raunchy-sweet balance that made its predecessor a success... A Bad Moms Christmas has the shoddy look and frantic feel of a slapped-together, cash-grab sequel, because that's exactly what it is.”

USA Today. “Average - Gone is the same cleverness in the mediocre sequel A Bad Moms Christmas, which adds star power but unfortunately downshifts the craziness to dive into full Hallmark Channel schmaltz. Hahn, however, singlehandedly keeps the second Bad Moms — as she also did for the first — entertaining...”

Slant Magazine: “Below Average - As it bounces from one family to the next, A Bad Moms Christmas gradually devolves into a set of loosely connected vignettes, spreading itself thin and subsequently leaving most of the on-screen relationships feeling too undeveloped to carry much emotional heft.”
