"The Slovak National Party (SNS) has initiated a procedure to ban the Party of the Hungarian Coalition (MKP) with Slovakia’s prosecutor general and will propose the withdrawal of its MPs’ mandates to the Bratislava parliament, SNS president Ján Slota announced.“As the MKP’s MPs question the Trianon peace treaty and the Benes decrees, they also doubt Slovakia’s sovereignty and territo-rial integrity,” Slota argued. “Now they are making moves towards the secession of the southern part of Slovakia,” he added.
By participating in the Forum of Ethnic Hungarian MPs of the Carpathian Basin, they violate the (Slovak) constitution, and shape Hungarian politics,” Slota asserted.
This is the SNS’s third attempt to file an order outlawing the MKP to the prosecutor general, who rejected the two earlier actions.
“The SNS is trying to divert attention from the corruption scandals surrounding its party chairman and faction. This pathetic effort de-serves no further comment,” MKP chairman Pál Csáky said."
