'Art Lecture Series', Museum Of Fine Arts, Until 11 December

'Art Lecture Series', Museum Of Fine Arts, Until 11 December
"We welcome those who are interested in attending the Museum’s English language lecture series on art history and biblical subjects held as part of the Docent Program.

ART LECTURE SERIES – Fall 2008

Art of the Magnificent Italians

The Italian collection is one of the largest and most varied in the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest. These beautiful paintings span a magnificent period of art: from the early masters Giotto and Duccio to the greatest masters of the Renaissance like Raphael, Giorgione, Titian, Tintoretto and Veronese, right up to the age of Tiepolo. Let our Museum curators and lecturers introduce you to the wonderful world of Italian artists whose inventiveness, originality and talent continue to amaze us today.

December 2: The Influence of Counter-Reformation on Italian Baroque Art in the 17th Century
Lecturer: Ágnes Mertus

December 9: The Multi-Faceted 18th Century
Lecturer: Ágnes Mertus

Guests are requested to purchase a „Docent Italian Lecture ticket” for HUF 2,500 on the day of each session you attend. Everyone is welcome. No need to register in advance – come when you can!

All lectures are on Tuesdays from 10:15 – 12:00.
Location: the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest, Italian Gallery (1st Floor).
All dates, times and locations are subject to change and will be duly announced."
