 "British citizen Bob Dent was among those recently presented with the prestigious ‘Budapestért Díj’ award for his writings about the city’s culture, history and everyday life. The awards were handed over by Mayor Gábor Demszky at a ceremony in the Municipal Town Hall on 17 November.Bob has lived in Budapest since 1986. His works include the 'Blue Guides/ for both Budapest and Hungary', 'Budapest: A Cultural and Literary History', 'Budapest 1956 – Locations of Drama'. and 'Inside Hungary From Outside'. It is rare for such an award to be presented to someone who, like Bob, is neither Hungarian nor of Hungarian descent."
