"The International Master’s in Management (IMM) has been among the best executive MBA-s of the world for seven years. During this period according to The Financial Times it has been no.1 regarding International Course Content and has also been among the top twenty five on the overall scale.CEU Business School in Hungary organizes the renowned course jointly with three foreign universities, Krannert School of Management, Purdue University, USA; TiasNimbas Business School, Tilburg University, The Netherlands; and GISMA Business School, Germany.
IMM consists of six concentrated two-week residential sessions, which are scheduled throughout an 18-month period. During that time all the participating business schools are serving as host, and one session also takes place in Shanghai, China. This schedule allows participants to maintain their job responsibilities while they acquire the broad range of managerial skills needed to be effective in a dynamic and highly competitive business environment.
Founded in 1988 by a group of visionary leaders, including George Soros, CEU Business School believes that the ongoing economic crisis has proven the concept that a paradigm shift in business education is essential. Hence, the School’s Transnational MBA modules are designed to help business leaders better understand the broader social, political, environmental, cultural and ethical drivers and barriers to business growth in volatile and rapidly changing markets.
The different scholarships cover various portions of the 52.500 EUR tuition fee. Due to the invaluable commitment to Hungarian talent management the Demján Sándor Foundation made it possible for the fourth time to offer a full scholarship for a Hungarian citizen. Last year’s winner is economist Nóra Szeles, an executive of Macrogamma Fund Management Ltd. “There are 40 of us from 16 countries on the program,” says Nóra, “all with a professional background of a decade. It’s especially interesting how differently the students from other parts of the world approach the same problems. We usually have heated debates – perhaps that’s the reason why lecturers are so fond of teaching in the program. We really enjoy learning, not only from the teachers but also from each other.”
For the third year running The American Chamber of Commerce in Hungary (AmCham) has also announced its scholarship generously undertaking to provide 50 % of the IMM Tuition Fee to the amount of 26 250 EUR for the successful applicant The application is open to the colleagues of any member company of the Amcham in Hungary . CEU Business School also announces its own scholarships for the same program. This opportunity is open to anyone who has a demonstrable background in a managerial position as a decision maker. For the two successful applicants, the school offers a 10 % scholarship each to the amount of 5 250 EUR.
Applicants to these scholarships shall provide a Letter of Intent, where they outline their expectations from the program, and their ambitions on how they intend to utilize the gained knowledge to enhance the competitiveness of Hungary. They should also submit their Résumé and two Letters of Recommendation. The awardees will be selected after personal interviews have taken place.
