European Speed Skating Tournament Coming To Budapest |

 "Budapest’s City Park ice rink will be home to the European Speed Skating Championships this coming weekend, January 6-8.The ice rink has been closed to the public since Saturday in order to complete a Ft 4.7 billion upgrade.In all, 25 women and 33 men from 18 countries are expected to vie for titles at the event from Friday through Sunday. Hungary's only world speed skating champion, Kornél Pajor, 88, will return from Sweden to attend the tournament as a guest of honour. Pajor will take to the ice wearing the pair of skates with which he won the world all-round title in 1949."
