"The National Transport Authority on Friday halted construction of a station on Budapest’s fourth metro line for two months, as there was no permit for the construction of a tunnel under Szent Gellért tér, near the Gellért Hotel.Project manager Gusztáv Klados told the Index website on Friday that contractor the Bamco consortium had not applied for a permit for the tunnel, delaying the project for at least two months.
Meanwhile, no decision has yet been made what technology to use to build a tunnel under the Danube for the Fővám tér station, meaning construction will there be stopped for two to four months. Construction elsewhere will proceed as usual. Costs could rise by Ft 600 million to Ft 1 billion, according to reports."
