Now showing in Budapest: 'Get Smart'

Now showing in Budapest: 'Get Smart'
"Maxwell Smart has always dreamed of working in the field with superstar Agent 23 but he is partnered with the lovely-but-lethal veteran Agent 99. Given little field experience and even less time, Smart, armed with nothing but a few spy-tech gadgets and his enthusiasm must thwart the doomsday plans of KAOS head Siegfried."

Movie type: Action Comedy - This adaptation of the '60s TV comedy is a bit more action-heavy than the original show. Fans of the show and stars Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway should be please. The target audience is mostly younger males but there is appeal to other demographics.

Director: Peter Segal

Script: Tom J. Astle, Matt Ember

Starring: Steve Carell (Maxwell Smart), Anne Hathaway (Agent - 99), Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Agent - 23)

Length: 1 hr. 50 min.

Reviews:

“Good Get Smart is delightfully silly and at times very funny. “Berardinelli, Internet Critic

“Very Good It’s funny, exciting, preposterous, great to look at, and made with the same level of technical expertise we’d expect from a new Bond movie itself. And all of that is very nice, but nicer still is the perfect pitch of the casting.” Roger Ebert

“Above Average Get Smart is bright enough, but stops short of being clever.” USA Today

“Above Average Of course, that's setting the bar pretty low: More objectively, it's a light, silly instantly forgettable comedy peppered with action set-pieces and affectionate nods to its fondly remembered predecessor,...” TV Guide Online
