Now Showing In Budapest 'Green Lantern'
"The Green Lantern Corps is a federation assigned to police the 3,600 sectors in the universe, overseen by an ancient race of immortals called the Guardians, who reside on the planet Oa. Most Lanterns are aliens, but of the six Earthbound members in DC Comics’ history (Alan Scott, Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, John Stewart, Kyle Raynor and Jade), Hal is arguably the most popular."

Movie type: Action Adventure - This is an extremely effects-heavy science fiction superhero adventure that is a starring showcase for Ryan Reynolds, who gives the film some touches of humor. Some action scenes may be too intense for young children, and some strong language could be of concern to parents.

Director: Martin Campbell

Script: Greg Berlanti, Michael Goldenberg, Michael Green, Marc Guggenheim

Starring: Ryan Reynolds (Hal Jordan), Blake Lively (Carol Ferris), Peter Sarsgaard (Hector Hammond)

Length: 1 hr. 45 min.

Reviews:

Roger Ebert: “Above Average 'Green Lantern' delivers all of those things, and for what it's worth, I liked it more than Thor.”

USA Today: “Below Average Green Lantern fails to light up the screen. Instead, it's muddled, overwrought and noisy.”

Chicago Tribune: “Average And 'Green Lantern' isn't much fun; the head-bashings and pummelings pile up high, and harshly.”

Washington Post: “Average 'Green Lantern' is passable, plausible -- and none too illuminating.”
