Guided Tours Of The Hungarian Parliament Building
"The unanimous opinion of art historians and thousands of visitors alike is that the Parliament designed by Imre Steindl is one of the happy exceptions of historical eclecticism.


Groups can only visit the Parliament Building with advanced booking. Tours can be booked in advance:

But only in the opening hours of the Tourism Department:

Monday-Tuesday (workdays) 08.00 am-04.30 pm
Friday (workdays) 08.00 am-02.00 pm

Beyond these opening hours, on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, bookings are not accepted.

Public holidays in Hungary: New Year's Day (January 1), Anniversary of the Revolution (March 15), Easter Sunday, Monday, Labor Day (May 28), Whit Monday, St Stephen's Day (Aug 20), Proclamation of the Republic (October 23), All Saint's Day (November 1), Christmas (December 24, 25, 26).

Individual visitors are not required any advanced booking. Tickets are available at gate X. on Kossuth Square. The Ticket Office is open:
Monday-Friday (workdays) 08:00 am-06:00 pm
Saturday 08:00 am-04:00 pm
Sunday 08:00 am-02:00 pm

Tickets are not available in advance.

EU citizens can visit the Parliament Building free of charge upon proof of nationality.

For foreign citizens the entrance tickets cost 3 200 Ft for adults and 1 600 Ft for students.

During Parliamentary sessions and official receptions tours shall not be held and advanced bookings shall be postponed to a later date.

Tours are held in different languages:
English 10 a.m., 12 a.m. and 2 p.m.
German weekdays 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m.
French 2 p.m.
Russian weekdays 3 p.m., Sunday 12.30 p.m.
Hebrew 10.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m.
Italian weekdays 11.30 a.m. and 4 p.m., Sunday 11.30 a.m.
May 1-September 30. Sunday 12.15 p.mm
Spanish weekdays 11.30 a.m. and 4 p.m., Sunday 11.30 a.m.

Tickets can be optained at the gate X. a quarter of an hour earlier.
