Now Showing In Budapest: 'Hancock'

Now Showing In Budapest: 'Hancock'
"With great power comes great responsibility -- everyone knows that -- everyone, that is, but Hancock. Edgy, conflicted, sarcastic, and misunderstood, Hancock's well-intentioned heroics might get the job done and save countless lives, but always seem to leave jaw-dropping damage in their wake."

Movie type: Action Comedy - This is an effects-filled superhero action-adventure, but despite concept and star Will Smith's appeal to young children, parents should be warned about the film's more rough content, such as fairly frequent harsh language and alcohol. Charlize Theron has a much more prominent role than the commercials and trailers make it out to be.

Director: Peter Berg

Starring: Will Smith (Hancock), Jason Bateman (Ray Embrey), Charlize Theron (Mary Embrey)

Length: 92 min

Script: Peter Berg, John August

Reviews:

“The special effects feel rather synthetic for a big-time summer blockbuster. When the smoke finally clears Hancock emerges as just another routine riff on the superhero genre.” By Frank Ochieng

” After a frenetic and funny first half, 'Hancock' falls apart, devolving into a sentimentalized and scattershot piece short on integrity and sense.” By John P. McCarthy

” ... the bottom line is that, as far as botched movies go, Hancock is a painless way to pass a couple of hours enjoying a mindless summer popcorn movie.” By Steve Biodrowski
