Hungarian Red Cross Press Conference Highlights USAID Grant |

 "On August 26, Ambassador Kounalakis and USAID Regional Director David Leong participated in a press conference organized by the Hungarian Red Cross. The conference was held to highlight the $50,000 USAID grant that was provided to the Hungarian Red Cross for emergency flood relief this spring and early summer. As a sign of appreciation, the USAID logo was placed on two rescue boats recently purchased by the Hungarian Red Cross and displayed at the event. In her remarks the Ambassador highlighted the size and extent of USAID disaster relief assistance worldwide, and stressed that the Hungarian Red Cross is a reliable partner for channeling U.S. assistance to those in need."
