Hungary To Up Gasoline Price HUF 5 A Litre From Wednesday

Hungary To Up Gasoline Price HUF 5 A Litre From Wednesday
"The gross wholesale list price of gasoline will be raised by HUF 5 a litre as of Wednesday, while the price of diesel will not change, Portfolio.hu has learned on Monday. In view of international gasoline quotations, the hike is not surprising.

Following the price increase, MOL will sell a litre of gasoline to retailers for HUF 292.4, while the gross wholesale list price of diesel will remain unchanged at HUF 297.9.

While retailers follow their own pricing models, drivers can expect to pay about HUF 5 more as of Wednesday, which means the pump price of gasoline will be around HUF 307-308 and a litre of diesel will be around HUF 313.

In view of last week's market processes, the move comes as no surprise, as the latest figures show the price of gasoline up 3.5%, while that of diesel down 2.4% in forint terms.

Fuels prices have been reduced almost uninterruptedly in the past four months, but the trend seemed to be reversed two weeks ago when MOL announced a HUF 3 hike in the price of gasoline."
